My name is Dr. David Greenspan, and I am a second-generation chiropractor serving the Asheville area. My family moved here in 1981, and my father, brother, sister, and I have cared for thousands of your neighbors. I graduated with honors from C. D. Owen High School, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Sherman College of Chiropractic.
After university, I spent years travelling in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, gaining a wider worldview. I have visited over 50 countries. I grew up hearing my father’s stories of helping others and carry on this passion.
I am an applied kinesiology (AK) practitioner and use muscle testing as a window into my patients’ functional neurology in real time. This technique allows me to assess and treat my patients beyond the musculoskeletal complaints that bring so many into a chiropractic office. I spend my days at GreenHands Healing Center discovering the foundational issues causing distress and guiding my patients through life changes that go far beyond pain relief.
Now in my 50s, I know that life can feel chaotic and overwhelming, so I use nutritional support to ease the body and mind in dealing with life’s stressors.

Dr. David currently lives in the Riceville community. He enjoys sailing, riding his mountain bike, and camping with his wife, Dr. Kara Paat; his daughters, Olivia and Vida; and Dr. Kara Paat’s daughter, Roxie.
